Poppy is the Stage Manager and Managing Director of SENSUM Theatre. A key element to these roles includes ensuring all technical elements and text of the production are in line with the overall concept of the performance. She is a passionate writer and has huge input into the devising and script writing process as well as the visual aesthetics of each production. As set designer, Jordan’s role is to take audiences on imaginative journeys into sensory, cinematic worlds through immersive theatre. With his role as Finance manager, Jordan is maintaining strategic oversight of all income generating activities and hopes to see the company grow to bigger and wider audiences around the world. In addition, he is a key member of the devising process alongside the rest of the company.

SENSUM go beyond traditional forms of theatre and are dedicated to creating an experience that immerses audiences beyond the performance. We encourage our audience members to trust themselves as well as the performers enough to fully surrender to the ultimate immersive experience.
Using human behaviour and the modern world as a stimulus, we aspire to create a performance that resonates with our audience and their own human experiences. Through the use of pre and post-performance surveys, we give our audience the opportunity to act as creative consultants for each project. Thus, allowing us to create various depictions of society’s suppressed unease about the modern world.
As a company, we focus on both amplifying and removing the senses of the audience to offer an experience that is unique to each audience member. SENSUM bring immersive theatre to the masses, on a variety of scales and prove that theatre is something to be experienced not just observed.
